On October 8, 2016 Cultura Collective's entry This Space is Not Abandoned at 912 Grandville Ave SE, GR not only won the Outstanding Venue award, but also split a win for Best Installment out of 1,453 entries in the ArtPrize 8 competition in Grand Rapids, MI! We are humbled and honored by this immense recognition; but more importantly, we are passionate about community ties! This opportunity has allowed a group of creatives to come together as a community and start dialogue about race & identity with art!
